Family travel experts from the international tourism group TUI analyzed more than 150 coastal destinations across Europe to identify the best places for holidays with children. Lisbon, Naples, and Porto claimed the top three spots, while Cyprus secured two places in the top ten with Paphos and Limassol.
The ranking was based on several key factors, including the number of family-friendly hotels, availability of theme parks, aquariums, playgrounds, cafés, waterparks, and zoos, as well as the variety of child-friendly excursions and overall climate conditions.
According to Ian Hill, who oversees leading family-focused hotel brands and concepts at TUI, families today are looking for holidays that combine fun with convenience. While sunshine remains important, accessible amenities such as parks, attractions, restaurants, and suitable accommodation play an equally vital role. The ideal destination offers enough variety for children to stay active and engaged, while allowing parents to relax.
