The University of Cyprus is set to expand its academic offering with the introduction of four new English-taught bachelor's degree programmes, following approval by the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Cyprus.
The new programmes, which will be delivered entirely in English, represent another important step in the university's ongoing internationalisation strategy and are expected to strengthen Cyprus' position as an emerging destination for higher education.
The programmes include:
- Medicine
- Business Administration – Accounting and Finance
- Business Administration – Marketing, Business Process Management and Management
- Economics
According to the University of Cyprus, the first student intake is expected in September 2027. The initiative aims to welcome a growing number of students from both Cyprus and abroad while expanding access to internationally recognised English-language education.
University Rector Professor Tasos Christofides described the launch as a significant milestone in enhancing the institution's international profile. The new programmes are expected to attract a diverse academic community and further reinforce Cyprus' reputation as a destination for high-quality education.
As Cyprus continues to invest in higher education and international collaboration, initiatives such as these contribute to the country's growing academic landscape and create new opportunities for students seeking internationally recognised degrees in an English-speaking environment.
