The former head of "Norilsk Nickel" Vladimir Strzhalkovskiy, who is currently a Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bank of Cyprus and an executive director of the bank, John Huriken will run the new Board of Directors at the annual meeting of shareholders that is going to be held on 20th of November.
Today, the board of directors of Bank of Cyprus includes 13 people, including five representatives of the Russian Federation.
There were six new members proposed to be added to the council, including the former head of Europe's largest investment bank - Deutsche Bank, Josef Ackermann, also an American investor Wilbur Ross and Maxim Goldman, who is a Director regarding strategic projects of the "Renova" group of companies - Viktor Vekselberg structure. In total, as was proposed by the shareholders, the council will consist of 10 people. Nevertheless, the notice states that the amount of members can vary from 7 to 13 people. In the meantime, it has been assumed that out of ten new directors there only will be four representatives of Cyprus
