The number ofregistered unemployed persons in Cyprus decreased in March.
According ofthe Statistical Service the unemployed persons registered in the District LaborOffices, decreased to 44.736 from 45.423 in the prior month.
Compared to thesame period of the previous year, unemployed persons dropped by 9.4 percent, or4.939 in March. The decline in unemployment was mainly observed in theconstruction sector, where the number decreased by 1.301 people.
