Bank of Cyprus has declared its intention to sell a building with a drill sculpture at the Kalispera intersection at the entrance to Nicosia for 24.5 million euros. There are ten floors in total, including two below grounds.

The residence is situated on a 3509 square meter parcel of land. Its size is 11,410 square meters. Class C for energy efficiency.

The structure was put into service in 1996. In it was the Laiki Bank. Following its bankruptcy in 2013, the Bank of Cyprus acquired ownership of the building.

A piece of artwork in the shape of a drill points upward in front of the facade. The word "development," "progress," and "advancement" are all part of its formal name, Anelixi. Greek artist Kostas Varotsos is the sculptor of this piece of art.

The sculpture, which is composed of steel and glass, is 12 meters tall. The creation took place in 1995. The Laiki Bank's management gave the go-ahead for the practice. It stands for the force of Cypriot society's evolution, movement, and progress.
